SIM code bug or Viewer bug

Hey all.. just wondering... ever jump on a dance ball or a sit and you go to what appears to be the edge of the sim (where most lost items are) for about 10-15 secs and then you either go back to where you are or crash?

Simcode bug? Viewer bug? Any help on this?

I don't know about 10-15 seconds, but I've had this happen a number of times. It can be quite frustrating when it happens.

It's a sim/network issue, it happens when the sit position doesn't get get to the client right away/at all. And the defualt value for that variable is <0,0,0>, so since it is never set, thats where you go.

<0,0,0> is the defualt value for all positions, so things like packet loss can make objects or avatars seem like they are there, when they really are not.

You received the ImprovedTerseObjectUpdate showing your position, which is now relative to the prim you're sitting on, but you didn't yet receive the ObjectUpdate for yourself telling you what prim is now your parent. To fix it quicker, force an ObjectUpdate for yourself by turning run on and off a couple times (Ctrl+R) :)
