I have a group whose name I would like changed. Is there any way to request this?

I had a friend who was forced to change the name of his group because it was obscene so obviously it can be done. If there's a legitimate reason I'd presume so. If it's just because you'd prefer something else then I'd guess not. Always worth asking though.

Others will probably come along who can probably give the best recommendation how it's best to request a change.

My group name was changed from what it originally was for the same reason. What it is now sounds very juvenile to me, so I'm hoping I can have it changed to something of my choosing.

I always assumed in his case that they allowed him to change it but I guess not. That must be why he complained for weeks about it. LOL. That sucks that they don't give you the opportunity for another option, at least IMO, but I'm not a Linden. Good luck getting something you prefer.

If the Lindens changed your group then I believe you can request a more appropriate name by opening a support ticket. Just make sure the name you request is very PG in nature.

one of my groups had the name changed and I was sent an im by the linden that did it with suggestions for alternate names, which I then chose one of and they changed it to the one I chose.

so yes it can be done, I guess it all depends on why.

PS mine was not obsene LOL
just was not and I had the name for well over a month before the change happened, I think someone tattled LOL
