I am not knowledgable in the way forum runs so maybe someone can direct me to where i would find information about this. Everytime I run SL a DOS screen runs along with it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled SL 3 times in last 2 days and it still does it.

Make sure the Client/Server menus are enabled (Ctrl+Alt+D)
Open the Client menu and disable 'Console Window'
Then relog (:

Is that what that is? I had the same thing too - just figured SL was doing something new.
