Jacket layers acting oddly

Recently, clothing items on the jacket layer have been acting bizarre for me. An item on that layer which previously looked OK might now wash out the pants layer beneath it, sometimes even misshaping the pants layer too. One day a jacket will be fine, the next it screws up the entire outfit.

I've seen this same thing with other items, and I have a couple of skins that have gone completely south, but jacket layers are the primary culprit. I may do a complete reinstall to see if this helps, but has anyone else seen this phenomena?
