Ok I have been here long enough that I should know this but what is the purple dot on my mini map? Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. I look at the mini-map and see a purple dot in the middle of the huge blue square that is my house. Shows up every once in awhile.
My curiosity is killing me LOL

Do you have any group-deeded objects around that spot? Those will look sort of purplish-pinkish-magentaish depending on the monitor. Your own stuff is blueish-cyanish.

My audio streamer shows as a purple dot on my (group owned) land. I deeded the streamer to the group because it would only work if I did that. So I agree with the post above that it's probably something owned by a group you belong to.

The link Kitty gave produced a "your support session has expired" message on this computer.
The KB page I get for the Mini-Map is at https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417 but that link also doesn't work on this computer at the moment although it produces a different result. This link seems to work right this instant: https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=4071 I don't know what's up with these links. If you go to the KB and use Mini-Map as a search term, with the hyphen, you should get to it. _____________________
