I have a friend that has a problem with her client. Everybody has a blue haze around them and it comes off in clouds when they move or change clothes.

I saw a thread earlier about a similar problem but now I can't find it. :(
Is this a problem with ATI cards? The bad thing is she is not sure what card she has. Does this problem sound familiar to anyone?

Have them try pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + U. This toggles on and off the Show Updates feature located in the Client menu. I'm not sure what this feature is actually for.

The different colors shown for different kinds of updates can help find lag sources.

She can go to "My Computer" then to "View System Information" which will tell her everything about her computer including her video card. Begin this by clicking on "Start."

I love a good "Show Updates" thread!

Because this is such a common problem, I've decided to make a little graphic that we all can use. This should help people determine if "Show Updates" is their problem, and if so, what they can do about it.

Please feel free to copy and share. :)

ctrl-alt-d > client > rendering > types > particles

turn the X next to particles off by clicking it.
This MIGHT work. But it also turns off every other thing that emits particles. So, try it.

This helped... I was going crazy with Blue. Red, and Green Haze coming off everything and everyone one. Thank You!
