The tiny font gets a little hard to read sometiimes. Can it be increased in size? I'm hoping there is something buried in the debug menu or elsewhere that I have not found.

You can try the UI size adjustment, that's Preferences / Graphics / and down a bit from the top, there's a slider and a text box for UI Size. Try a value of 1.125 to start with.

In the Client Debug Settings menu there are a number of variables that start with "FontSize". Since the space the lettering appears in isn't adjusted to match the change is font size, make small changes, like change FontSizeSmall from 9 t 10. Big changes will cause text to extend past where it is supposed to go, be too high up, etc.

One can change the fonts using the Debug Settings variable but I think it makes SL crash owing to SL using the fonts in a non-standard way.

Yes it can!

this is the process on the First Look Wind Light Viewer.

But it will increase the UI (User Interface) size so not just text gets bigger.

press "Ctrl + P" to bring up Preferences

Go under "General" tab

Look for "UI Size" this will have a slider that you can change the larger the number the bigger the UI will be.

Press "Apply" to see the difference.

And that should do it :)

(Someone beat me to it :P)

You can edit the font settings under the debug options. I run Second Life at 1280x720 and these settings work great for me:

FontScreenDPI = 110
FontSizeMonospace = 12 // script editor
*The default values for those were 96 for DPI, and 9 for monopace font size.

The UI size change occurs right after you make it, but if memory serves, the Debug Settings font changes require a restart of the program to take effect.

Thank you miss smarty pants! :) LOL

I learned along time ago to never admit to anything without first consulting my attorney! :)

/me looks around for my reading glasses, eventually finding them on top of my head.

Actually I even had my eye doctor make up a special set of lenses for use with a monitor or laptop that is at arms length, reading distance is usually much closer! How Nerdy is that?? But I hate wearing them, LOL. They have gotten blurry!!

/me makes note in Palm to schedule an eye exam.

Thanks I have wonder about this...I refuse to get glasses but my vision goes in and out sometimes and small fonts are hard to read.
