I own a 2048 plot with 468 prims, but I'm out of prims soon. Is possible to get additional prims in Mainland sims?

Only by buying more land in that sim.

Be aware that if you don't need more space, you can simply buy any land for sale in the sim. They do not need to be connected to share prim-count. They do need to either be owned all by you, or, if deeded to a group, need to all be of the same group.

Land in different sims, even if they touch along the borders, do NOT share prims.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

You are my new hero!!! I did not know this was the case, and have been bugging a neighbor of mine for a week now about selling me enough meters to round out the rest of my tier.

It is correct and was what I did.

In the past I had one more big spot in Maia and else where in Maia some smaller plots. In time by selling, buying and trading I combined all to one big place... which is nice, but not needed at all when you only want more prims :).

First, I repeat what's said above - it's so important - if you own other land IN THE SAME SIM, it adds to your prim total in that sim, even if it's in the far corner of the sim.

Also, look at your builds and see how many places where 2 or more prims can cleverly be replaced by one doing the same job.

Let's be clear about something - there is no such thing as "mainland prims" - in ANY sim, you must buy more land in the same sim to get more prims, period. It's not some quirk of mainland.

Not quite true, you can try to bribe the sim owner into making your land double prim. Thats the only other way that I know of though

Is true.

Double prims dont mean double prims.
There is empty land somewhere in the sim, ( a park) those prims are allocated to your block to give you extra prims per your parcel.

Yes, but you still gain double prims for your land, regardless, which is generally the point of the origianl post I think, although it is not possible with Mainland
