Well it seems during the course of my adventures through the many lands that SL has to offer the game added a extra layer onto my pants or skirt type clothing and it makes me looks rather rediculous, either i always have bell bottoms on now, or my skirts are long and transparent, is there anyway to fix this?
Iv cleared my cache, rebaked my textures, reinstalled the game, any other ideas?

Huh. Okay, have you tried removing everything? Type worn into your inventory search to find them.
And have you updated the video drivers recently?

I haven't updated my video drivers as of recently, but i have heard of this problem before, people call it added layers, it seems to happen after a crash in SL it kind of grafts the clothing onto the skin.

I have been getting the bell bottom bug again for quite some time... ( fix is changing pants logging some days its there some its not ... can't give one definitive re production it was a bug back in 06, went away came back in 07 and fixed.. back again its an issue somewhere between the client code and nvidia cards

If you are running with the latest Nvidia drivers there is a defect that shows up as an extra layer. The fix I found was to turn off palletaized something (textures I think) and then rebake.
Advanced/Rendering/Features/Palletized Textures.
You have to do this every time you start SL.
