Hello everyone, My partner having a strange problem with her appearance. Two days ago a black collar like thing appeared on her neck. She took everything off she was wearing. Cleared the cache. Even changed the skin but that thing keeps coming out. I wonder if anyone knows what is it and how to deal with it. Thank you.

That sounds like the currently very prominent bug with nvidia graphics cards.
Downgrade the drivers to 175 series drivers. If not possible, there's a workaround until the fix is applied to the browser: In the advanced menu tab, click rendering -> features -> palletized textures. Turn that off, then do a rebake (ctrl + shift + r). That should do the trick.

She is using a MAC. Is that may be a problem?

Hmmmm. It shouldn't be a problem. Tell her to clear cache and reboot. If that doesn't do the trick, rebake multiple times.

Then let her try out the workaround for the nvidia problems, even though it's most likely not an nvidia card she's using, but can't hurt to try: Turn off palletized textures, then hit rebake.

make sure she cahnges skins/shapes, could be corruption in one of those, saw that ages back, nothing seemed to help it, untill I accidentally tweaked one of the shape settings and it went away.

I'm having the same problem. I do have Nvidia so I'll give that a try. Couple of my skins are dark red and the same exact skin just different eyeshadow is fine. My underwear, when I go to appearance always comes in as pants. The number thingys don't seem to work. Some of the undies also show the map on my feet. Tried clearing and relogging but to no avail.

From: Awnee Dawner hey! no should not be the problem change the avatar to a newbie one - all parts, also hair, eyes, shoes, ... Well we fixed that problem last night by switching her avatar to male and then back to female. Basically it was the same as switching to a newbie. It worked perfectly. Thanks everyone for your help and support.
