Is it possible to teleport to an exact point anywhere on SL without ending up in the defined teleport area of a sim?

Thanks in advance

Surely this would defeat the purpose of setting a teleport landing point?

When ppl teleport into my sim I *want* them to land at a specific point - although when ppl log off / log in again they do appear where they last logged

Screwtape,

It depends on the land settings made by the parcel owner. Some people allow you to tp anywhere, others force you to a central tp point. And if you use the option when logging in to enter a sim name, instead of your home or last location, you will end up automatically at 128, 128 (which is really a pain when it turns out to be the center of a prim or underneath a building!)

Personally, I hate it when people force me to tp to their central tp location, even when I have double-clicked on a landmark for a specific store. Then I have to wander about, chasing the red beam, to find the store. Unfortunately, those stores often end up losing my business because I cannot find them. About the only way to get to them is if someone offers to teleport you specifically.

Maybe someone else has better advice, but this has been my experience.

Wonder if it's possible to use a secondlife:// call via http to a browser and back to sl as a hack?
