So what say you?
When SL crashes and you are asked if you want to send a crash report... do you? Do you think they are worthless or essential? Do you think SL actually does anything with them?

I say Yay. I do believe LL does look at them and that they do provide essential information for them to help solve problems. And, the more of them they get, the easier it is for them to spot a pattern and zero in on the problem.

Its a good idea to do so. Tthey are put into a system that categorizes and relates information thats sent in. Therefore if a large amount of users all start crashing with, say, the same CPU, the developers will know there's an issue.

I've received responses to crash reports. Of course, I've filed hundreds of crash reports, maybe thousands. The crash reports in the latest version ask you to state what you were up to at the time of the crash. I bet they'll get some answers to that they could have done without.

The crash report sender used to hang and then crash on my machine everytime so I sort of got out of the habit. I tried it again yesterday though, and it worked. So, I guess I will go back to sending them everytime.

Everytime i hit 'yes' to send a crash report, the crash logger crashes so i dont know if it is doing much good.
The program 'Second Life Crash Logger' is not responding. End Task?

The program 'Second Life Crash Logger' is not responding. End Task? It occurred to me that a "Second Life Crash Logger Crash Logger" might be a good idea, but after a moment I realized that way madness lies.

I send them, I believe over time thay develop a pattern that can bee seen by LL and fixed. Each time they come out with a new viewer they may have to do a reset on the reports but more data is better.

Depends on how big a hurry I am to get back into SL. If I'm in a big hurry, no.. if not, maybe.
Whether or not they respond or use the crash reports, apparently they do. I wonder what would happen to the monthly stats if everyone sent the crash reports, every time they crash.
