Autoreturn ... to forever?

I recently changed the autoreturn time for my parcel (which had been deeded to a group I formed) from 0 to 30 and suddenly everything was gone ... a newbie mistake, I'm sure, but not flattering for somebody who's been in SL for almost 3 years and owned other parcels. Anyway, the objects owned by me (and not deeded to the group) haven't been returned to me, yet. My questions:

When the owner of the estate undeeds the parcel from the group and back to me will my objects return to my inventory?

In the meantime, where are my objects? I've cleared cache and gone to a sim with few objects or avis hoping that they will come home. (I'd heard that this was a good idea.)

Have my objects disappeared into the aether lindeniensis and are being held for ransom?

Any and all insights into this phenomenon will be appreciated!

Thanks

Objects deeded to the group are likely gone - poof, cya.

Objects owned by you, explicitly you, should show up in your Lost & Found folder. The sim may (ie: usually will) returns things in a coalesced fashion where it returns a bunch of things that show up as one object in your inventory. You can tell coalesced objects because they have an icon that looks like a stack of cubes instead of just a single cube.

Be careful when rezzing coalesced objects - make sure you have _plenty_ of room...

edit: oh.. right.. autoreturn.. Was thinking about when everything gets returned which is, of course, different..

Sindy, the objects in question were owned by me ... and I think the 5 objects deeded to group are still there.

Thanks, again!

Once you deed land to group, it sees things owned by you as foreign objects. So if you set object return they will poof.

The "lost" is "found" ... the coalesced objects were indeed the ones I thought I'd lost.

Thanks, again!

note: deeded object that are returned will go back to their original owner *IF* they were +transfer

otherwise they are gone for good.

(additionally deeding is treated as transfer so if the next owner permission was set for no transfer before you deeded, then you're SOL, it ain't coming back.)
