How long do messages stay in IM? I ask this because I have a friend that I have not heard from in a while and I have left several IM's for him. I just wondered how long these messages stay stored?

IM's can get capped. I don't have IM's to my email because it's so many group notices.
If he's been away for a while, he can have his IM'box filled up quick. Depends how many groups he's in and how much they send out.
You can try to write a notecard and drop it into his profile. But, sometimes they don't come through either.
