i have a massive amount of inventory that i would like to sell. Mainly furniture and landscaping items, and some artwork. Does anyone know of a store or service that purchases it? It is all quality things that i have accumulated through three lifetimes, and i just don't use it. I would like someone just to buy it in bulk rather than having to write down descripitions of each item. i would, of course list items and show to a qualified viewer but before i list some 5000 items in a notecard.....you get the idea

thanks

Make the list, place it on Xstreet as a one off purchase.

Yeah I don't see how you could ever hope to sell it without making some kind of list. How would anyone know how much they wanted to offer? I'll give you $200 for it... but I don't think that's what you are looking for. :p

An entire region is what, something like $L 2600 a day?

Put all your stuff out, set it for sale and advertise a massive yard sale... just have to beat $L 2600 a day's worth of sales and you'll be fine!

Honestly though I don't see any organised way of doing this. There are some people who do yard sales, but that sounds like a *lot* of stuff. Sounds about as bad as a garage full of real stuff...

There are a couple of contacts I have used in my 3 years in SL ...

1. Steel Masala ... buys anything Xcite! and pays good money

2. Sez Innis ... buys unwanted inventory ... you will have to do a list, but could sell inventory in batches.

There are a lot of people that actively search for "Inventory Clearance Sale" . I did it once. Advertised for 50L Inventory Clearance sale and had all the items sold by the end of the week. I set everything out and set it for sale.. (Little over 3,000 items) I didn't have much land and prim usage at the time so i put most of the popular items out first so the inventory would move fast . As items left the land i put more out

You can find some places that actively run yard sales as well . pay them a portion of the sales to let you set items on their land to sale..
I went with option 1 since i had land to do it on

if you search the classifieds most inventory buyers do advertise. They run yard sales themselves from what they buy ..I did this with clothes a few months back, sold everything in 3 days. I think i recall i used the search term "buy inventory" and "I buy inventory" etc...

I also did a small yard sale myself..small sky platform...put things out as others sold and ran a 50L classified for a week, updating it as I put more out.
Good luck!

Hi I sold a bunch of furniture to Etc, Etc. She didn't take my beds though. She paid a fair price for the lot. I would say it was about 50 items. I found her in search. I hope that helps.

If you have nice items (clothes, furniture, landscaping, any PG kind of thing) that you'd like to get rid of, please consider donating it to the Helping Hand Me Downs shop. We do a resale shop in the West of Ireland and the money raised in the shop is donated to Project Children (projectchildren.org).

For more information or would like to donate items, please IM Maeve Thespian, the manager of Helping Hand Me Downs.
