Maybe a really dumb question (never been afraid of looking dumb - got over that years ago), but is there a way to log off but not shut off SL? To log off and automatically go back to starting window, the one with the landscape? Let's say I'm frozen or something. Or do I have to completely start over each time? Thank You Oh Mighty Oldies out there for your patience...

It can be done on the Dale Glass version. I saw it once, but haven't seen it since, it's there though.

I really don't understand why there's so much difference between logging off vs restarting the client. Given how many people complain about memory leaks and other extended use drops in performance, I'd think people would want to restart the viewer rather than to log back on again with all the accumulated bloat from the last log-on session.

I put this one in the suggestion box for OnRez a while back. Everybody seemed to think it was a good idea, but I have no idea how high of a priority it might be, so I don't know how soon they might add it.
As for Kitty's concern about memory leaks, I think that's probably a valid point, but can't we have both? How about we ask all those kind hearted, talented developers out there to fix the leaks AND enable on the fly user switching, instead of assuming it has to be one or the other?
