a while back, there was a hack circulating, that would allow you to change a few lines in one of the GUI settings files.. this would allow you to resize the communicate window.
I have been using 1.18.06 (pre voice) simply because of how much I utterly loathe the communicate window.
Does anyone happen to know what this hack was? and where I might find it? PLEAAAASE?

I like the new communicate window too, I think it allows more flexibility with the ability to "tear off" the windows. Also, once you tear off a window, it resizes smaller than the communicate window does. I also find it easier to IM and teleport my friends, with all the buttons right there next to my contacts. I really don't get what everyone is so upset about. But I also like using voice in some situations, I find it generally enriches my SL experience and deepens my existing friendships.

Yeah i would personally like to thank which ever whiz kid at LL who thought that this was a improvement for helping to ruin my SL experience!
this ranks right up there with the changes in the snap shot feature long ago
WHY do they feel the need to take simple friendly useable features and make them clunky, complicated and highly unfriendly?
