I need serious help. Yesterday, my Laqroki skins started showing these black lines on the neck. I thought that maybe it was from my eyebrows but it turns out to be the skin instead. I have done it all, I've tried contacting them (and received no response, i've even included my transaction info), texture re baking ,turning off the palletized textures, uninstalling and reinstalling sl, and clearing my caches. I don't know what else to do. It seems that my laqroki skins with the hair bases are having this black neck line on them. Any help or suggestion would be kindly taken. Thank you.

Okay, one thing I gotta ask.. have you been wearing the same bra the entire time? Or have you worn this bra before and not had them show up?

I did not even have on that bra set. I tried putting on different clothes and it does not matter, the lines still show up. Even if i`m naked with nothing but my skin , eyes, and shape, the black lines still appear.

Change skins and then change back -- you can find freebie default skins in the library if you need one.

That's what I was thinking, too. Looks like hair to me.

Have you tried moisturizer?

( :D Heh, sorry. Yeah, it looks like hair to me. I have some hair that sort of does this too, although it's more obvious that it IS hair.)

turning off the palletized textures

If you're still using a viewer that supports palletized textures, you should probably upgrade to a more current one.

Its not the hair. I have downgraded and updated my viewer and tried that palletized textures suggestion and it did not work. Even when I don`t have on anything but my skin, shape, and eyes, the black lines are still there.

On the head texture, that's the seam where both sides of the head, under the ears, wrap around and meet the neck part that drops down from the face part. Very difficult area to work with. It really looks like the hair base was painted too far out, and too close to the neck fold on the head texture (they sit right next to each other because the round head texture is unwrapped flat). I have no answer for why you're just now seeing this, but I know I've done this by accident while painting my own skins. It also seems to be more noticible the further away from it your camera is. I've also noticed that the environmental shaders (in graphics preferences), and to some degree the basic shaders as well play some role in scattering or bleeding colors that sit right next to each other on the texture. May be able to cure some of that for yourself by turning one or both of the shader settings off, but everyone else will probably still see it. Should probably ask a few others if they see it or not, and whether or not they have their shaders on.. that would let you know if it's only you that sees it, or if it's like I suspect, just a poorly painted head texture that the creator missed for some reason.

Have you tried enabling anistropic filtering by going into Preferences > Graphics > Hardware Options?

Wow so now i'm stuck with 20 skins I can't use because this developer did a poor job at doing hair bases. Thank you guys for your help.

I was just curious...is it just you who sees the lines, or do other people see the same thing as well?

Have you contacted Laqroki? I believe it has in-store customer service. I have seen this problem mentioned elsewhere, so LAQ may have a solution. Good luck!

and I have a feeling that if they are not aware of the problem, they most certainly would want to be.

Put on a different bald cap. You can get free ones or make one or use one that came with some other hair.

As someone else said, it looks like hair sticking out, to me. Could it also be your hair? Did you try looking at this without any hair on?

If nothing solves it, just keep annoying the creator until you get at least an exchange. Some are loathe to refund money but it costs them nothing to exchange a product, and rewards a lot in customer good will.

In her original post she said she sent them the transaction history and everything, and got no reply.

Maybe - hopefully - they are simply busy and will get to it soon.
