You know like when you move up against an object and the camera zooms automatically closer to you. Is there a way to turn that off?

Just curious, why would you want this? If you're in an enclosed space, backing up against a wall, the zoom thing is great. It would otherwise show you outside the room. Of course, you didn't ask me for a my opinion (  ) just a solution... Frankly, I don't know, I simply cam around using the alt key + mouse. Maybe someone else will jump in and give you a definitive yes or no.

try hitting the {esc} key a few times - works for me when my camera is off doin' it's own thing............

Like I play this SECOND LIFE FOOTBALL game sometimes and the camera will zoom in real quick if they run close to me and it can throw me off. |

There's a setting for Camera Springiness. I've never been able to tell that it does much.
