Prim Attachment Problems

Hi all,

Just a quick question, I'll prolly get told it is the asshat servers acting up again but I just wanted to check before I give it up as a lost cause.

I am having increasing problems with my Windlight viewer. The plain non-prims skirts don't work properly, but I can deal with that. I've kinda figured a work around and though annoying, it is dealable.
My problem now is my attachments. I am getting very very annoyed. Every time I choose to 'wear' an attachment, it tells me an object is pending for that spot. I have to manually choose to attach it. For example, to wear my hair I have to find it, right click, choose attach to >, choose skull. Then, if it is feeling nice to me my hair might actually rez. Often it doesn't though, and I end up bald or worse, with one strand of hair on my fod.
It also means I have to remember where every prim attaches to.
*sigh*
This is really getting me peeved.
Last night I ended up in just hotpants because the prims on my skirt wouldn't rez. I'd get one or two of them and the rest wouldn't be there, or worse it would rez in a totally different position. Upside down and inside out
My shoes randomly go invisible, my ao bracelet disappears. When I log on I am wearing totally different attachments to when I logged off, or worse, none at all.
The only thing that doesn't have problems seems to be my kitty ears.

Can someone help me please? Is it just me? Is it the servers?

Oh, I have cleared cache multiple times as well as cookies and everything else I could think of that I can't remember right now lol.

Claire the attachment pending issue is not cos of Windlight. I think SL had some issues yesterday - there was a long period where everyone was grey to me whichever viewer I was using.

Oh yeah and attachments for EVERYONE were a problem.

Were you in a high lag area? I went home = only attachments were on me and the other 4 max in a class 5 server sim = no more problems.

Its been happening for a while now. I have found a very low lag water sim, where no one else ever is to change etc. It was happening here aswell. I was stood here for half an hour, just trying to get my skirt sorted a couple of days ago, just to give up and wear jeans

I will see how it is tonight, but Windlight seems to have suddenly gone glitchy a week or so ago.

I only run it to take piccies. The thing with Windlight is that it's still work in progress not a full release candidate so yeah, lots happening with it still.

I keep getting these problems but TBH they are always related to general performance in the sim too :/

I have had this probelm before as well. It comes and goes in cycles. TP'ing to somewhere else usually lets me finish getting attached.

I have the same problems,but I don't use Windlight. I use the RC.

With attachment pending issues, I usually either wait for the attachment to finish attaching (may take a while), or I jump to a different sim. Oddly enough, sometimes I find moving to a different sim resolves that issue. It's pesky and I sympathize.
