Ive looked on slx and searched quite a few places ..using crate as a search word seems to bring up textures for wooden crates.

I dont want actual crates but textures to use - preferably metallic ones youd find on the USS Enterprise (although I dont want star trek 'specific' textures) rather than wooden crates youd find in the hold of a sailing ship (Ive found plenty of them)I want something that looks as if it could be holding spare components for space craft or a sky station.

So can anyone recomend some good futuristic/metal/ heavy duty storage container textures please ?

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

You're probably best off searching for general sci-fi metal textures - you should find something that you could use for a 'space' crate.

Find the "Freebie Dungeon". In the back corner are several boxes with textures labeled e6 and e8. These are full of sci-fi textures and some make great trunks, containers and such.
And they are free =)

These out of place product request posts are getting far too numerous for comfort lately. Products Wanted forum, people, not Resident Answers, not Building Tips, and not Texturing Tips. It's not a difficult concept.
