tried clearing cache? hate to suggest it but reinstall if all fails and hope it doesn`t fails either if that fails, try with windlight or the other version if that fails... you can allways open the window but doesn`t comes highly recommended for longtivity of the oc

Hi there, There's several issues like this in the jira: jira.secondlife.com. You log into the site with your SL name and password. You can search for "crash on login" or "crash during login" at the top of the screen. I'm not sure which one is most comparable to your problems, so can't give you a link to a specific issue, sorry. Good luck

This happens a *lot* with my older PC (rarely with the Mac). It seems to be a matter of the PC being just a little bit marginal for something that's happening just as the log-in process reaches a critical spot in its sequence. Doesn't have anything to do with the cache, or what client is being used. Seems to be a temporary condition either on the line (DSL here) or at LL. Might be simply a matter of how many other accounts are logging in at that exact moment. All I know is that it is *common* for me, and *repeatedly* logging in as quickly as the system will allow, eventually works. I have also found that with my PC, if I move my avitar or open inventory *before* the initial scene is fully rezzed, the client will crash. I have to let things settle down for about a minute before doing anything active. I feel certain that's a problem of my marginal system, though.

Just a suggestion... maybe your computer is having downloading issues? What about disabling all streaming video and music next time before you login again, so that you don't have to load everything all at once?
