I have done nordic walking animation in Poser. Do I have option (function, tools) in Poser that I repeat the figures which are same. Is in Second Life limited the time of animation from Poser, for example 120 frames or not. Can I animate the poles as figure in Poser which I use in Second Life.

You would do better to post this question in 'animation tips', thanks.

Hi Jano - if you look down the SL Forums list you will find one specifically for animation questions and you can find answers to many animation questions there. Also, there are FAQs in a "sticky" at the top of the board and links to tutorials.
I'll try and answer here and maybe the resmod can move this thread later. The maximum time of animation that can be loaded into SL is 30 seconds. So the maximum number of frames depends on the fps of the animation. If you are using the Poser default of 30 fps, then the maximum number of frames would be 900. You can use multiple figures in Poser (just add figures selected from the Poser library and use the animation palette to identify them - give them easily identifyable names) but you should use the SL avatar figures available for download from the SL website, as this has the correct structure for SL. Each figure animated in Poser has to be separately exported to bvh format to be uploaded individually to SL. You cannot upload animations of Poser props - so you will not be able to upload any animation you have done on your poles. The best you can do is make some poles in SL that are the same size as the ones you used in Poser and animate your figures so that the arms move in such a way that it will look right when the poles are attached to the avatar hands in SL. Hope this helps and good luck ![]() _____________________

While you can "animate" the poles with a script, it will not be timed to the avatar animation. Like Deira said, you will have better luck if you animate the arms and hands to move the poles as attachments.
btw, it is a real good idea to download the beta client and work on your uploaded animations there. It will not cost you "real" lindens there to keep reloading the animation until you get it just righ. So when you have all the bugs worked out then log on to the main grid and upload the final version. |

My poles are attched on avatar. But they go wrong because they are too forward. They have to be more back. How can I repear this mistake? I understood you that I didn't animate poles in Poser for SL. But I have script Animate on attach. They must be way that is animated object with avatar. I saw the wind surf which made on this way.
