If you have a mainland parcel in the "Places" search, you may not be showing up in search from private islands. I noticed today that my land was not showing up from private islands, but was from mainland.
I then did a random keyword search from mainland and got 71 listings returned while on mainlland and only got 44 results returned when i searched for the same keyword on various private islands.
Please check if you are affected and then go to the JIRA i posted to comment and vote. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5399
I'm sorry for cross posting but once i found out this was bigger than just me I thought it best to let other mainland owners know so they can check for themselves.

I am standing on a parcel in Dreamland and can see my parcel just fine. _____________________

check from the places tab cristalle. it has been veriefied by many. here are the steps to recreate it.
- go to any private island, search for a known Mainland place. it will not show in the places tab. I'm not talking about the new search tab. - now go to any mainland sim and do the search again and it will appear. - you can also do random keyword searches. and the amount of returns differ wildly because all searches done from private islands are omitting mainland results. I just went to dreamland and still get the same mainland omissions in search when i use the PLACES tab. |

Okay, I see it. This is bizarre. Not like I really use this tab....but then most of my time is spent on mainland so I'd never notice it. Is there a jira for this?

The fault isn't occuring now. I just did a search from the same island where the fault occured yesterday, and the results are fine.

The fault isn't occuring now. I just did a search from the same island where the fault occured yesterday, and the results are fine. It is still occuring for me as of just a few minutes ago. I suspect that this occured somewhere around the middle of February. I saw a drop in sales of about 50% for no apparent reason that started just about the 15th. I have been trying to locate a reason for it until now. That's interesting. I just checked again and it's fine for me. It could be a difference in where we are getting the results from. There is more than one source (datacenter).
