Is it just me (you'll probably say that it is!) but are other areas of sl experiencing severe lag and grotty reception? No movement, slow inventory loading, sicky feeling at pit of avatar stomach? I am sure I downloaded new version correctly - am I gonna be forced to visit sl less and less simply because it is getting harder and harder to actually exist in this brave new world?

I am reminded of that quotation every time SL crashes.

It may be higher than normal number of residents online when you were in-world. I've been noticing more lag lately and thought it was any of the following: huge numbers of avies online, found out I forgot the second part of the download for the update, a business in my sim which seems to be running many scripts, not all sims have been upgraded to class 5 servers yet, land bots are adding to the lag(okay, not likely, but it felt good to lay some of the blame on the land bots). Any or all of the above, take your pick.
