Anyone know some good free sites out there? I did a search and am finding a lot of trials then pay a fortune. Any hints?

Hi! First post for me (been lurking for a long time and have learned A TON thereby!)

Try MediaMaster.com. I have my personal library stored up there and they stream out an internet radio station from my library...which I play on my personal SL parcel. So far, it has been 100% free.

Do you want to stream from your own computer? Or do you just want a URL to stream to your parcel for entertainment? If the latter, try Shoutcast; it's got jillions of streams.

If you are just wanting a URL of your liking on you land.. Just go to www.shoutcast.com and search for one you like..

Bring it up in Winamp then click file > View File Info.. then Copy and Paste the URL to your media on your land

If you are talking about streaming your own that's different.. You will need software such as the most popular Sam Broadcast which you can find at www.spacialaudio.com then you will need a streamer.. Many of these in game at very good rates just search under places for Shoutcast then pick your poison.

Torley introduced us to Media Manager a few months ago. Its a great free way to load your own music into a website and broadcast it on your land.
