The message of the day warns people that anyone can use the name Linden in Skype or AOL, and that Linden employees willl never be asking for passwords in such places.
Anyone heard of this happening? Something must have inspired that MOTD.

Probably has happened, or not. But theres no reason not to warn against it, because in the world of online services, it is a fairly common tactic.

Just because it is common doesn't mean people won't fall for it. Never hurts to remind folks now and then.
