I know this has been asked and answered probably a gazillion times but I'm not sure how to find it....

Dancing in SL is one of my favorite things. Although I really like the ballroom type with all the beautiful gowns, I have to be in a certain mood to want to make small talk for a long time with just whoever happens to ask me to dance. But I really like the places where you don't dance couples but rather click on something and everyone dances sync solo (sorry, I don't know what that's called or even how to describe it very well).

I play primarily during the day CST and the ones I've gone to via searching in-game were deserted (even the DJs were "away" at the live music places). I don't know what search criteria to enter to find places.

Suggestions?

Try the Lone Star Saloon at Heartland. Its a friendly, very family oriented place and there are people there ALL the time. You have to like Country Western music though [which I do].

Look in groups and join the open enrollment ANNOUNCE IT! group. Most of teh venues that announce events within this group are very active. Once you join you can look atthe archived notices and take the landmarks to the clubs that are attached. Go clubbing all night long!

ANNOUNCE IT! group is just for clubs? I'll definitely look up that group and join.

Dallas, being a Texas girl, I definitely love country music and, of course, "Lone Star" anything is home. I'll try your suggestion for sure.

Try Sensual Elements. It's very active all day, especially during euro evenings, which would be day time cst when you're on. They do mostly dance, house and rock.

If you do find yourself in the ballroom mood, you may want to try Avalon which is formal dress required ballroom dancing. Not at home computer, so I can not check if correct name.

I own Summertime Blues Club

The pink dance ball is for girls, green for guys. Inevitably, all the people on one ball or another will sync. We run a 9am event daily. Sadly, i don't have a LM with me at the office

The sim is called Deck though and we're at 60,38,22

The Shelter has both a Formal Dance on Sunday nights, and a Line Dancer where folks can join together and dance in sync like you mention.

Feel free to stop by & check it out - the line dancer is a perennial favorite & there's almost always people on it
