Blog: Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday AM

Ok, thanks for the blog post, but as "comments are closed"

1) "On Sunday, November 4, at 2am PDT (Second Life time), the SL time clock will change to 1am PDT. "

This should read:
"On Sunday, November 4, at 2am PDT (Second Life time), the SL time clock will change to 1am PST. "

(PDT Pacific Daylight Time - PST - Pacific Standard Time)

I'm 5280 miles away from LL USA and manage to get it right!

2) Thanks for the blog mention last week when a great majority of your EU (vat chargable) customers changed from daylight savings hours.... (tongue in cheek)

3) Why close comments on such a simple blog post??

I missed Robin Linden's office hour because LL didn't tell me my clock had gone back. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I'll give you a synopsis of the comments if the blog was open:

Who really needs to read that over and over again for something as simple as a time change?

But they don't - Yes they make a LOT of BIG mistakes, but we wouldn't still be here if they were that bad...

I main gripe is that the just don't seem to be contactable (yes i know we have the live chat and stuff, but you never feel like you are speaking to LL - just powerless "moderators" of LL...

One example of how important it is to leave comments open is the fact that you call it "Daylight Savings Time" in the thread title. It's "Daylight Saving Time." I rate that not very important, but I do think there's a place for getting things right for its own sake.

I don't think they do. I was simply stating what you would read over and over again in the blog comments, as always.

Daylight saving times is very important. If you dont forget to set your clock right you could be an hour late to work!

Or worse, an hour Early!

Also, it's not exactly about the typo.. we have long since learned not to expect perfection from the poor sots at LL. It's about our need to make them see the errors of their ways! Sorry, couldn't resist. Two kids, allergy meds and not sane by any stretch of the imagination.
