I had everything removed in my invntory and it appears that only my "objects" were restored. Why wasnt evrything else put back into the inventory, such as clothing, landmarks, body parts, all my files and folders of clothes and things. Just wondering why only objects and such were put back into place.

Yes I have taken all the steps to get help for this and upon many of the grievances i hope im not the only one thet has this problem. So lindens if you are watching and listening in my database you need to restore it all.

This is a followup to an earlier post "Inventory Help".

Kitty Look up "Inventory Help" its far too much to type.

The Forums were considered bad for Linden morale. So they are forbidden from reading here, less they get their feelings hurt.

Facebook and tetris are far more interesting than your pathetic problem.

And more fun than work, too.

You never actually pointed out what your original problem was, or list the things you tried to resolve it, which makes it rather difficult for anyone here to offer any help or suggestions.

(If you're seeing only objects and nothing but objects. Try creating/getting a notecard or snapshot from someone. If it doesn't show up either, check that you didn't accidently set the inventory filter to display only objects and nothing else).

They say they don't, but they sometimes do.

I remember ages ago I was railing on about something, and all of a sudden Robin Linden popped in and posted to me.

YIKES! It was kind of like the teacher coming back in the room while you were talking about her, and you didn't notice!

lol

If you're only seeing objects, check your filters. Could be that you've set it to ONLY see objects. You need to have all of those options checked in order to view them in your inventory.

And no, Lindens do not read these forums.

Sure, some Lindens read these forums. Sometimes even, if something is going on that's big enough to affect the whole community, they'll take action, too. Take the Halloween Maintenance update, for example - which was rescheduled due in part to resident concerns.

If you have an *individual* support concern, however - there is almost zero chance that posting to this forum will make any difference at all. Individual Lindens may read it - but unless you follow their stated process & put in a support ticket, I'm afraid your issue probably wont get much attention.

On a side note - a corrupted cache is one of the most common culprits for "inventory loss". In this case, your inventory isn't truly gone - you just can't see it. Clicking the 'clear cache' button in your preferences, then logging all the way out - then logging all the way back in **and wait a bit for your inventory to stream back in** often does the trick.

Good luck! :)

Not to critize, but editing your original post probably makes it very hard for people to follow along :) (I know I just click the "Skip to first unread post" in thread I follow).

I did read that thread, and posted in it.

The initial description was rather vague (there's many ways to "loose inventory" and without knowing what happened and what you're experiencing it's difficult for anyone to give helpful advice that applies to your specific problem) and I did offer one suggestion based on a guess from the original post.
