I'm trying to add another resident to one of my groups. When I use Invite New member >Open Resident Chooser & then search the resident is not found. However he exists! and can be found through the general search tool.

Any suggestions?

Try entering just their first name and see if they show up in the list.

First name is "Vi" and the find button only appears to be active after typing three characters! Wonder if this is related. I've tried the surname only and this only returns one user (even though there are many more with that surname!)

Hmm that looks like an issue for the Jira then.

If the person is online you could temporarily make your group open enrolment and ask them to join.

This has been reported on pJIRA. Add your comments and vote on People Picker (Group Invites, Bans etc) doesn't work for all Names http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-14915

I have been told twice now by group owners that they cannot find me in the Group chooser thingie (yeah, technical term...) to add me to their groups. (I'd forgotten about the first until I was clearing out some old emails recently.)

In the first case, I didn't really think too much about it and ended up not joining the group, as I was pretty near full up. The second time, the group owner friended me and used my calling card to send me the group invite.

I don't know whether it's a name length issue, but my name is only three letters long...

I've voted on the JIRA above.
