Now, i've looked good and hard, but still cant find the bulk email you surely must have sent to all SL residents about the substatial change to the T&C's about the adult changes- right?
if LL can make the effort to let everyone know about SL6B, and seem so proud about the new changes, why are they not shouting from the rooftops about that?
LL - any change to T&C's require 30 days notice to the customer (ie me and the people that pay fees to you) by perminant means (letter. email or fax). I have not received this yet, but the process has already started.... What about the thousands that do not read the forums, blog etc?
LL - you ignore me at the office hours, you ignore me in the comments on your new blog. Will you ignore me here to?

If not, don't you think it's the wrong time to be testing it, when one of the biggest changes in SL history is taking place over the next 2 weeks? LL should be taking EVERY measure they can - blog, forms, MOTD, direct email, in world announcements etc to make sure ALL users are aware of the evictions and fored adult verification you have made us do? Please be aware that this is a fundimental change to the T&C's we ALL signed up for and here in the UK at least, by law, you have to give customers 30 days notice by "perminant means" (email, in writing etc) and not on the off chance they stuble across the forums or blog. Not all residents use the website, blogs or forum. I find it very bizarre you are using this vital 2 week window to advertise a handfull of residents private business (when you have never done it before) when at the same time you are potentially putting several thousand of residents out of business... Can you comment on this? Gomez I've already tiered down this month - now wondering if even considering a move is worth the effort - I still pay a lot into LL each month - If they cant be bothered with us, it maybe time to become a basic member.... Gomez, I'm not at all involved in the adult content controversy...I don't own a business nor am I worried about any content in my houses, although I have followed all the threads/blogs dealing with the issue. But I have to say, that if I did, I wouldn't take the move. I don't know, call it women's intuition if you have to put a name to it. If given the choice, I would get rid of the content and tier down

Something as fundimental as a change to the T&C's shouldnt be left to a straw poll.., LL have a legal obligation to inform customers about these changes before they happen. To me, it seems like LL are deliberately trying to "muddy the waters" by: 1) Emails about SL6B, but no email abount the adult changes 2) Choosing this time to start an "experimental" advertising campagn on the MOTD instead of informing about the changes 3) No change of T&C's popup box when running 1.23 for the fist time (they#ve dont this before for other minor changes) 4) Not giving straignt answers to questions from their customers. 5) Asking for customer opinion on the eviction then totally ignoring the input. It's this sort of behaviour from LL that is causing most of the issues with the Adult move. I doubt they could have handled it worse... Gomez _____________________

If the Bday party is anything like last year, or the Concierge party (or whatever it was called for sim owners); it will be nothing but a lag fest...boring...and not worth going to. How can LL give out such awful freebies? You would think if they could not create themselves they would contract with some of the creators available to them in world.

I received this invitation to one of my alts (in 3). I really can't see any resaon to celebrate SL, when:
* LL refuses to advert the adult changes by email, when it can send enails for SLB6; * LL refuses to put the adult changes in MOTD, while puts adverts for land barons there (and they say that are doing all that they can do to let all know about it) * insistently ignore all suggestion from residents (while keep saying that they 'are hearing us') * refuse to give me what I've paid for the last 2 years - a mature plot where I can do what I want to. (instead, they say that I have to beg for a swap, that can be denied depending of the humour of the Linden on charge). I am not against regulatios, zoning, etc. But those things can be done in a manner that minimize the impact, or in the Linden way. The Linden way (the worst possible) was choosed in the homestead problem, in the adult zoning problem, and certainly they will find a way that will hurt everyone when limiting script memory. No, there is no reason to celebrate anything in SL. PS - I've get rid of my mainland plots, and downgraded to basic - I will not pay Linden Labs for the privilege to beg them to be fair. |
