I've TPed a few times since the maintenance (only once to a different sim, though), and I haven't had the problem.

I didn't see it in either of my 2 TPs -- maybe 3 -- after the window.

I fail to understand what the quotes about Mardi Gras and the pancreas have to do with double teleporting.

Some kind of pancreatic failure during Mardi Gras caused somebody's avatar to be teleported twice?

The Grand Marshal threw too many beads. They were thrown back and got stuck in their bile duct. In a rage, they borked teleports throughout all of SL.

Well it makes as much sense as the real answer!

I've had one or two "double tp's" (at least they don't seem to cause a total freeze like they used to) but also a fun new "delayed double tp" variation.

Tp a few times, walk around and then suddenly out of nowhere get tp'ed back to one of the previous places .

What is confusing about "The pancreas quote was from a signature. The Mardi Gras quote was from a forum title"? (granted I confused things by adding that "or whatever they are called." part; it is called custom user title).

In this thread there is a signature. I quoted the signature and the forum user who has that signature. In this thread there was also a forum user title. Which I quoted. I then commented on both. Both quotations, and comments, occured after I noted that I had not been in world yet so that I did not know if there was an issue or not ("I haven't been in world";).

Am I only supposed to respond to one thing and not respond to anything else I happen to spot in the thread? Both things that I responded to were in this thread. Granted in that they were in the form of a signature and a user title, but they were both in this thread.

If we are not allowed to respond to such things, then they should be removed from this forum.

It's not that it's not allowed, but that it is confusing because it's unrelated.

I have signatures turned off. Why bother wasting screen space seeing the same thing over and over again? And since the interesting content is in the middle, I usually don't even read the names, let alone the user titles or anything else that's displayed in the left column. But even people who keep signatures turned on or who look at the user info are still going to focus on the main subject of the thread.

If you feel the urge to comment on a signature, user title, or anything else that's not part of the discussion content and not relevant to it, then the best way to do that is to simply start another thread, instead of sidetracking an existing thread.

Is this really worth arguing about?

Can't we stick to more important matters?

Like whether silks were first introduced into SL by Goreans, or belly dancers?

WTH is anyone talking about my Madi Gras signature or whatever it is. I just merely stated that Will and I are coming/going. What is the big biggie about that? No different when I referenced us going to Orlando.

If there was enough character space to say the below, it would be there.

I would love to be double tp'd to some place warmer than where I am at.

geezz.....

It is odd feeling to have an event celebrated by many in your own country to which you have never participted in..

That's why 2 more from my country is going, Will and I. It's like our version of Carnivale.

What's your country's version?

I suppose we could argue about whether it's really arguing or just discussing.

But yes, it is worth it. One person adds a comment, others remark that they're confused by it, and the first doesn't understand why. It's worth explaining why people were confused and providing a constructive suggestion that I hope would help everyone.

Sorry, Kidd. I was really largely just being facetious.

I admit that I was a bit confused by the apparently random insertion of references to Mardi Gras and the like into the thread myself, so I don't disagree. I do find it (sorry) mildly amusing when the subject of how, in essence, a thread shouldn't be derailed in this way becomes itself the main topic of conversation of said thread. ;)

Or we could discuss that ... ;-)
