Hi
I have been trying all morning to have my alt on at the same time as me to adjust some furniture poseballs, I have the properties set up correctly so I can run 2 viewers and normally it isn't a problem, but today everytime I have another av log in, shortly afterwards it crashes, doesn't matter if it is my main account or the alt, they just crash very quicly after getting in world. Any suggestions as to why this may be happening or how I can fix it? I get no message just the crash log pops up.
Thanks in advance
~Nissa~

Go to task manager and end absolutely everything that sits in your computer's memory that you don't need at that time. AVG, DVD programs, etc. Having two AVs on at once is extremely memory intensive, especially if you're using the "regular" viewer, which is a notorious memory hog.

thanks, I'll try that after lunch, I did have a image editing program running at the same time so that could have been it

My husband actually managed to get 4 AVs online at once last night for a "family picture", so it can be done. The culprit probably WAS the image editing software, because they are likewise memory intensive.

You always have to take your computer resources into account when running SL. I will often run two clients, but I set the graphics down on one or both when I am doing so. I always still have my virus scan running and I usually have Firefox running with many tabs open, Thunderbird running and periodically polling for email, sometimes my photo editor and sometimes Yahoo Messenger. If I start running into performance issues, then I start shutting things down, but I seldom need to as long as I stay with the Nicholaz version of the viewer -- Nicholaz fixed some memory leak issues the LL viewers seem to have. Edited to add: I also logged four accounts in once and took a family photo - just to see if I could.
