I have been renting and have developed a nice plot with much landscaping and a big house.

I recently bought my own sim and am trying to decide the best method for moving. The next tier fee on my old land is due tomorrow. I have already received the new sim.

Should I pay the tier and try and sell the land with the house (and many extras) or should I just abandon the land and move on. The tier is $89US/month for 9200 sq m. Expensive. I don't know what I could get for my land with the house built and if it would be even worth the effort. It is a really nice house but of course now I want to build a new one :)

Any SL Realtors out there?

Cut your losses, offer it to your friends to take over. You would have to charge about 22k for the land to break even, and that does not guarantee the region owner you live in will allow transfer of the lease.

Congratulations on your new region!

Set it for sale at a low price (mentally add the extra $89/L$24k it would cost you in two days if it feels you're letting it go too cheap :)) and hope it sells by tomorrow (evening).

You could IM the neighbours as well to ask if they'd be interested.

Personally, $89/month for 9200m² seems rather pricey .

(Realtors wouldn't take estate land since they can't use their mainland tier for it, and it doesn't have near the liquidity mainland land does)

If you can - have a yard sale (post in events) and put things out at a price you can live with.

If you have non-tropical plants and trees - send me a LM, I will be your first shopper :)

The people I have been renting from are wonderful, and I actually feel bad about leaving Cheiron, but it's time to move on. They do allow resale of the property.

I have so much stuff but I guess I could only sell the things I made, I have many other items I no longer want that I bought and aren't transferable to other avatars.

I suspect the land itself isn't going to be of interest to anyone so perhaps I'll just abandon it and sell the house later from the new sim or something.
