How to give note to entire friends list at once?

Is there a way to give a note (or object) to everyone in your Friend's list at once? Instead of having to open the profile of each friend, and then drag it onto them?

It seems like it should be a simple thing to do, but I don't see a way to do it. BTW, I'm using the Nicholaz Bleeding Edge-V browser, if that affects anything.

I am guessing: Make a group... make all your friends part of the group.

One by one is the only way I know how.

If they would all agree to be in the group...then again, some of them may opt out to avoid spam.

I have never done it but I think there is icon that you can send a instant message to everyone on your friend list that is online.
I usually for objects or notecard just drag and drop it to all the friends who I want the item to be given too
I often wonder how though those griefers are able to find everyone online and mass send objects.
Too bad there isn't a easy way to do this for good that is easy to use.

You can do the giving fairly easily via script, once you have the keys of all your friends.

Which means I think that there are two rather tedious parts involved:

1. Create the list of names of all your friends (you cannot cut-and-paste names from the friends window). The only partial shortcut I see is to pick some times when a lot of your friends are online, and cut-and-paste from the Friends Online page (which works fine).

2. Use one of the search facilities that do a name-2-key function (SL search or w-hat's) to get the key for each name. This can be done as part of the script.

Yeah, there are scripts to do this. Sign-up mailing lists at stores instead of needing to join a group and all.

But for a one time deal (which I believe this is) just bite the bullet and go down your list of callingcards.

Are you saying I can drop the note on each calling card as opposed to having to open the profiles through the friends list? Or do I still have to open the profile through each calling card?

just right click on the calling card folder and send messege..it opens a channle so you can talk to them all..

Yes, but can you send an item to 'all' that way?

isabeau no you can not send an item (be it notecard object or whatever) to groups of folks all at the same time, unless you utilize a script as mentioned

you can not drop stuff on a calling card, it has to be dropped on the person's profile inventory slot

Would be nice to have a way but there is not

now you could set it up in a box somewhere and send out a mass announcement to the group to come by and get it
or use the subscribe o matic and have your friends subscribe to it

or make a group and hope they join

or find that script mentioned earlier and then get the uuid of your friends...
