In need of a Spanish translator to help friend

Hi all,

I met a newbie gal today who needs some help, but she only speaks Spanish, and mine is rusty. AltaVista can only do so much lol. If anyone is interested, please drop me a line here or IM.

My spanish is fair, I can usually understand pretty well, and get my message across, but, I can't get in right now unfortunately. Don't know how good Altavista's translator is, but have you tried Babelfish? I find theirs to be pretty darn good.

Yes, that's the site I meant, www.altavista.com/babelfish. She says she'll be on again tomorrow, I'm sure she would appreciate your help. I tried to help her get the newbie hair voucher, but she had trouble for some reason. Isn't there a SL software version for spanish speaking people? Her controls are obviously in english, and she's having trouble with it I think. Thanks for your reply, I'll pass your name to her and vice versa.

Pinky, if she hasn't sorted this out by tomorrow, I'm pretty confident I have enough Spanish in my head to help her with this. I'll try and look her up at some point.

my Spanish is about 95%... but there is an in-world translation tool called the Babbler which translates into several languages, including Spanish. if you cant find it let me know and I will attempt to translate for you.

I can speak enough Spanish to get by, but by no means am anywhere near 95% lol. Please, if you want to jump in and help out, be my guest!

Systran (http://www.systran.co.uk/) has a pretty good widget that came standard with Mac Tiger; hopefully, it's available for PC too. I've found it to be superior to BabelFish, and having it as a widget is extremely convenient.
