For a few weeks now whenever I go to a certain shop I crash. It always happens each and every time. There are a few times I have managed to get inside the shop but then I crash again. Sometimes I crash before I even move. Other times I crash when I'm walking into the place and others while I've gotten all the way inside the shop. This has happened every single time I've gone there in the last few weeks and I've gone there alot.
I jumped on a pose stand as I was willing to try anything at this point then used the camera to shop and I manged to stay on for about 10 mins but then I crashed yet again.
I told the owner of the shop and he checked out the sim by resetting or doing what he had to do but the problem continues. It's a shop that sells some of the best jewelry around and I like shopping there but it's so frustrating constantly crashing in this place. I've gone to other places and don't have this problem so I don't know why this happens just in this place.
Can anyone tell me what's going on or if there's anything that can be done to prevent this from happening. Has anyone had this same problem at a certain spot in sl?
Thanks

I'd guess there's a graphics preference that isn't quite fully supported by the graphics card or driver, and that's getting triggered by the surroundings. (Of course, the first thing to try is to clear cache and restart, in case it's just a corrupt texture in cache, but I'm guessing that's already been tried.)

Wow, you know, I have the problem when I go to the tsunami wave sim, I crash immediately, and have never gotten to see the tsunami..my friend was able to stay and watch, so I've never figured it out either. It's the only sim I crash in like that..so if you find out what the problem is, lemme know, too.

If you mean the sim called "Tsunami", I just looked around for anything exotic. There's some pretty heavy-duty particle effects there, and texture animations on sculpt surfaces (not animating the sculpties themselves), and a huge events board based on xyText 1.2... (and Linden ripple water, of course, but that's everywhere) Turning off particles and turning on wireframe from the Client menu might be an interesting experiment (after the clear cache / restart thing has failed).
