Constant Trouble With Tp'ing!!

Anyone else having this problem? I constantly and consistently canNOT TP to places. Out of every 10 places I try to TP to, I probably, maybe actually get to ONE!
WTF is going on? Is it an SL issue (most likely) or could there be something on my end?
This is extremely frustrating and I'm getting tired of it. What's the point of having all these things to see and do in SL if you can't get to them!
I couldn't even get to my job the other night!

That sounds horrid. Have you tried teleporting sans attachments in case they are holding you back? If it isn't that can you log in to the locations you need to be in as a temporary workaround?

I have had a horrid time with TPs today. A relog helped a bit, but only a bit - I am still having every other TP fail.

I'd just had a week or more fairly free of TP troubles, but they are back for me too. I just had a series of slow TPs culminating in one ending in a crash. I just relogged to try again, with another one failing.

I have to say I almost never have teleportation troubles, so I'm inclined to believe it has to do with the mass quantities of scripted objects people attach to themselves.

Possible, and a lot of scripts running doesn't help. It doesn't explain how TP conditions can be so variable for the same av. I'm not running any more scripts today than yesterday, when conditions were much better.

IT's very frustrating. I've removed the few scripted items I wear and still can't TP to most every place I try.

I've had problems with TP's today. I've also had that "failed to grant capabilities" problem a couple of times while trying to fly from one sim to another, and the invisible sim problem, where it's there on the map, including green dots, but it's invisible and you can't enter.

I almost never have problems TPing and today even after removing all of my HUDs, I still had difficulties. So I am not so sure that the scripted attachments has much to do with my issues today.

Teleport - 30s of limbo - arrive with error message
Teleport - 30s limbo - crash - 5min delay for relog
Relog - teleport - 50s limbo - crash - 2min delay for relog
Relog - finally appear at intended destination

*Bonus* Group IM is borky too

Update: Live chat deny a grid wide problem with teleports, and advise I remove all attachments. While this reduces the problem, it doesn't solve it.

Live chat refuse to admit that there could be another factor involved, causing attachments that were fine on one day to cause TP issues on another. Their advice? The scripts may have changed or failed. There is no sign of this, but I can't tell for certain. My AO and collar seem unaffected. I'm advised to contact the content creator. I sign off with a sarcastic 'thanks for the advice'.


Imagine if a car dealer tried this approach.

Me: My car breaks down constantly, is there a problem I should be aware of?

Dealer: There are no problems we are aware of. Are you having a problem?

Me: When I try to travel anywhere, it stops for long spells and appears to do nothing. Then it returns me to where I started!

Dealer: Have you added any accessories to the places we specifically designed for that purpose? Try removing them.

Me: OK... hmm, that's a little better. I'm still having problems. And that doesn't explain why I have the problem now, and not the last time I drove anywhere.

Dealer: It certainly does! You had a problem. You removed the accessories. Now you don't have a problem. Simple!

Me: What I'm saying is that the accessories haven't changed. The car has been working fine for a while with those accessories. Now it doesn't. I accept that they are part of the problem, but something else has changed to make that happen.

Dealer: You can't possibly know that. They might have changed in ways you can't notice. Ask the person who made them. By adding accessories, you cause problems we never accounted for.

Me: But you designed the car with places to put accessories, didn't you expect me to use them? It's not like I've added a supercharger or machine guns... just sat-nav and some things to make life easier.

Dealer: I can't comment on the accessories you might have added. Often anything more complicated than furry dice will cause problems. You're better off without them, and I've just proved it.

Me: Gee, thanks.

Dealer: You are very welcome!

are you getting any kind of message when your port fails?

Also have never had trouble with teleports, now suddenly they do not work but 1 in 20.

This is true if I take off all HUDs, etc. I've tried from several clients, from PC and MAC, and the problem persists across platforms.

I've used Emerald, and the standard SL viewer. Same problem

message from SL:

'Teleport was not able to complete in a timely manner. Try again in a few minutes."

This is a real problem.

The sim I use all the time (Majel) does not seem to be working at all with teleports. I can sign into my home location there just fine, but if I go elsewhere then tp back I land on the edge of the next sim. If I try TPing within Majel itself I get an error. Replicated with another user, 2 different clients, and 3rd parties asking me what is going wrong.

Reported to LL, which means I should expect a reply any moment, right?

Between us (the transgender lounge) being collateral damage that got moved to a different sim when LL did the adult content move (it is not AC, but the land owner makes adult stuff elsewhere) and now this a lot of people probably think we folded up or something. You have to love SL.
