Yesterday was my second rezday. Today I went for a stroll round the sim where I live. First I noticed that the encroachment onto the unmade Linden highway beside my home had been removed. Then as I wandered around there was something different I couldn't put my finger on at first. The view looked less cluttered.
Then it struck me! No ads! All the gaudy cubes in the sky had gone, even the obelisk thing.
What a nice surprise! Thanks LL, keep up the good work.

Belated Happie RezDay Conifer
 I'm waiting to AR a couple of my mainland places, wish they would just vanish too! But their holding out, Oct 1st (is that the deadline for off the ground rotating, fire! spewing and a mega prim cube w/! glow the size of their parcel ads ?) is going to be a busy AR day for LL! _____________________

Happy rez day Conifer - I think I saw you at Burning Life yesterday
I'm almost 2 years old myself - and today I decided to fly the whole way around Corsica by way of celebration - sticking to Linden protected waterways. And it worked - hardly any sim crossing problems; only had to AR one encroachment onto protected land, only came across one hideous 'CE' particle emitting monstrosity (AR saved up for 1st October). Lots of open spaces, nice sims, good people. Surty .. |

There are a couple of ad signs left but they are for places within SL, which I think is OK. I've never AR'd anyone for land infringements and I would hope I never have to. I did go to support once to get a huge overlapping structure dropped by a newbie on open-build land next to mine removed, but that's a bit different!
Since all these ads and an encroachment onto Linden land disappeared at the same time, I assume this was an LL clean-up rather than voluntary action by landowners. _____________________

I went for a walk down the road from my place through 4 sims to the big lake. Nearly all the ad farm-ish type ads had gone. There was just one cluster left. Significantly, perhaps, this is next to a very large parcel of land that has been completley boarded in with tall plywood megaprims and is for sale at a high price. Maybe it seemed silly getting rid of the 16m eyesores next to a much bigger one that covers something like 1/6 of a sim! OK, it might be an unfinished build but it's been like that for a long time.

Earlier this year, you could have three - the day you first entered SL, the next day when you finally had your clothes download, and the third, when you could finally see other items in SL. I'm wondering what's going to happen to all the micro parcels? I live by a Linden road, and there everywhere, like flies on...sugar. I'd hate to see those little parcels lonely, sad, abandoned...NOT!
