Small, realistic handgun?

In line with my general philosophy that women should go armed, can anyone suggest a model/maker of a relatively small, authoritative, accurately modelled, non-bling, non-silly-looking handgun for a female? Thigh holster a definite plus. Not really looking to shoot anyone in the pixels, just making my statement :) I did see one simply lustrous model of, I think, a Python on slexchange - but it was the size of Big Bertha, and 2000L or something. Thoughts?

How small? Eata Kitty makes great guns, but they aren't exactly dainty.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I don't know if you are looking for something THAT small, but I have a nice derringer Gerami Fizz made--both the regular and pepperbox (four shot). It stays hidden unless needed, which is how I like things :)

Was going to suggest checking Caledon, as I am under the impression there are some rather well armed gentle-ladies among the populace...one notable weapons-smith being Ordinal Malaprop.

I'm guessing the "good things/small packages" saying may be an understatement.

I can reccomend the SIG P229s from The Omega Concern, They are small, realistically modeled, and yet, can be relied on to do what needs to be done. :)

the Beretta 92FS is a lovely little piece. it shoots 9mm peas. ;) it's matte black and bad-ass!

of course, i don't know where to find it in SL... but i keep one in RL.

Oh yes, to second Mr Able's comment: DEFINITELY take a peek at Miss Malaprop's shop for Steampunk/Victoriana lethal elegance.

Oh, thank you all; I was not going to post to promote myself, but, well, all recommendations are very much appreciated. The Ordinal Derringer is not an exact reproduction of an RL item, but it modelled after them, and has different concealment points - it may be what you require. By all means do contact me should you wish a demonstration or suchlike.

it's a thing of beauty! the grip is wide and the kick is big, but it holds 15 beautiful rounds, and we work well together.... and most importantly i look bad-ass holding it! :p

i wouldn't be able to handle the weight or control it if it was anything beyond a glock. i don't like those. i like my pea-shooter just fine.

i'm not into weapons in SL, but it would be fun to have one anyway. i have a freebie chrome plated revolver that i get yelled at if i ever take it out. i don't really know the weapon etiquette in SL, so i just avoid it altogether.

but i might go check that out, just 'cause. thanks for the tip! :D

After speaking out about RL handguns last week, Eveline got me looking at SL guns.

I wound up with the "Heather Thorn" custom M1911A1.

http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=363159

I had to do a bit of careful editing to get the thigh strap to fit, and I wish it either would let me link it to a belt of my own, or had additional holstering options beside the thigh holster.

But aside from that, I love it. Beautiful, functional, easy to use...and it's scaled correctly, not the oversized hand-cannons many SL guns are.

Having said that, I will also say that a largish handgun is about the smallest gun you'll find easily (Ordinal's derringer aside). I saw few or no pocket pistols or other "concealed carry" arms in my search. Makes sense, I guess, since you can't conceal prims under avatar clothing layers anyway.

And Eveline...I found a nice little skybox shooting range with some target popping games.

I had the same problem on an alt last year. I was looking for a Walther PPK, but the ones I found were scaled up to the same size as a full sized pistol.

Anyone who enjoys guns in SL get that zombie rezzer. Yesterday we pulled one out and a bunch of us just opened fire, it gets old quick but for a bout 10-15 minutes its a blast.

My vote would be for the Breach 18C's dual handgun, very sexy and extremely functional - very popular too. I think they are small and cute but then I used to roleplay in a place with huge guns YMMV.
