Is there a way to find out who paid you L$ either inworld or outside of SL?
and are there details or a record of who and when and how much?

My transaction history tells me nothing about who L$ came from. I have L$1002 and there is no indication as to where it came from (which residents or objects). I have no idea how I got this money.

In the top right, it says 'Welcome, Rocket Flasheart!' Under that, there's a 'My Account' link. Click it, then you should see a column on the right with a number of links; 'Transactions History' is the last one in the first group.
