Is this new on Xstreet?

I wanted to deposit some Lindens into my xstreet account without logging into SL and searching out a ATM. I sometimes log on and pay the avatar that owns their ATMS but the deposits take longer to register that way.

Today I clicked 'deposit' under my balance and I was able to take Lindens from my avatar and deposit onto my xstreet account.

Is this a new feature? This is a great feature I never saw before.

I am confused where did the lindens come from?
I haven't clue how or what has changed I guess.
Part of reason I haven't used SLexchange aka Xstreet is
I don't want to buy Lindens from them and I found
transferring Lindens a pain in my pixel rear end.

They've been available for a long time.

Huh, I didn't know about that! Given that I prefer to use them for selling L$ I'll probably grab one so I don't have to leave the shop to do a deposit!

This feature has been available for months. AFAIK, it doesn't require any additional devices for it to work.

This has been available for a while, you do need a deposit box device that you grant the rights to take Linden, at least I hope this is still the case, or at the very least the Lindens keep a very close eye on whatever method is now being used to take L$ from the avatars directly.

oh wow - I do have that little box rezzed in my in-world office. Never understood what it was for - I once tried to pay it (lol) then gave up. Well this is a greatfeature - one the folks at xstreet should promote and explain more to their customer base.

Perhaps they should send one to every customer as an promotion -include some gift certificates (because I said so)

Can you make Linden withdrawals with the box from Xstreet too?

I had a really flaky landlord in RL, and we could lose internet for days, or weeks at a time. And I wanted some way that, through an internet computer at the library (no access to SL), I could "pull" some money from my SL account, and cash it out, and once the money was in the bank, go pay that cable bill.

Apotheus made it so that you have to re-login when you do it, and you need to rez-up the remote deposit box for it to work, and grant it perms to access your funds. So it's something you have to get before you need it.

Ususally takes about 10 minutes to process. Similar to paying cash to the avatar "Exchange Street" (not streeter)



FD.. Just go to a XstreetSL atm. Pop open your map and type "Exchange".. go to that sim, find an atm, and from there you can have instant deposits, and instant withdrawals from your XStreetSL account. I find that using the "withdraw" link on the XstreetSL webpage is a bit easier, when doing a withdrawal.. but the ATM method is faster for deposits. (ususally about 30 seconds, compared to the 10 minutes when you use the remote deposit box, or pay Exchange Street directly).
