Changed Camera Position

Ever since I DL'd the new Release Candidate viewer 1.21.2, my default camera position has changed in relation to my avatar. Now it is about 10 feet further away than it used to be. If I hit Escape to return the camera to its default position, I need a pair of binoculars to see myself. OK, I exxagerate a tiny bit... but not much. Also, when I am walking, it follows me further back than it used to. I can zoom in but, it's a pain to be continually doing it. Also, if I use Alt Up or Down to zoom in or out, then try to rotate my camera around to the front of my av, my av is no longer the center of that circle of rotation. If I used the scroll wheel to zoom, it works correctly, though.

I have tried resetting the Camera Follow Distance in my prefs...currently set at 0, but I tried 1 and .5 too, but it has absolutely no effect.

Anybody else seen this? Any solution to it? Am I just being dumb?

Hi Naz. I was thinking to tell you to adjust your camera position in prefs but it sounds like you've tried that already. I think ctrl+8 zooms the camera out from you and ctrl+0 zooms in. Those stay that way until you press ctrl+9 to reset your zoom. I don't know if those settings stay after a re-log. Maybe you are wearing something that is causing that or you are inside a megaprim which sometimes screws with the camera.

Hi Naz. Would you have possibly played with the debug settings under the advanced menu? The cam can get totally screwed if the settings here are changed. Other than that I'm not really sure what else may cause that issue.

When you reloaded SL did you delete the Second Life Application data found in your Documents and Settings folder? (C:\Documents and Settings\"Your Windows User Name"\Application Data\SecondLife) Might be worth uninstalling SL, deleting all files in that folder and re-installing SL to clear any settings that may persist between installs.

Good luck.
