Dance Sync- Some Have It, Some Don't

Hi. My show dance group dances to looped anims controlled by a single hud or chim. Lately, some of the girls see the others as dancing out of sync, while most do not. The dances always start in sync, but as we move around the stage some of us see everyone getting out of sync. Most people do not see it this way... they see all dancers completely in sync, loop after loop.

This was not a problem last season. Has something changed? Is it lag, or some avatar setting? Inquiring dancers desperately need to know! :)

I've been getting this too with things that I have been using for sync dances.

Oh goodness. I was hoping it was just some glitchy end on my side. Let us hope it is not another bug =x

I've noticed it too. A good portion of why it does that is related to how fast of a computer, and how fast of a connection to SL some of the dancers have. Everyone usually gets the "change to XX dance" command at the same time, and is why when it switches dances they all start out in sync. The more one has in view during the dance (like panning your camera out at a busy club), the slower that persons replay of the animation is because of all the OTHER rendering stuff it's having to do at the same time. Not everyone sees this because another person may not have such a laggy/avitar-filled view of you, and to them you are just running the dance anim just like everyone else. Same thing happens on couples dance sets, even ones that auto-sync, if it's in a crowded or laggy place, and one person is cammed up close to the couple and the other is off perving the crowd :p Bad lag can cause people to get the change animation command late, causing out of sync. I've seen people skip whole dance anims during a set and continue with the same one (while others are doing the new one) until the next dance change happens. I'd probably think that was missing the command to change dances all together because of heavy packet loss. Only solution I've seen that helps is to keep your camera zoomed in on yourself and try to keep other people or detailed builds out your view.
