Dingbats In Group Title

I Rescently replaced my harddrive and reinstalled Secondlife....
Now the Dingbats in Grop title are missing anyone know how to get them back?Ive tried restarting sl etc...

Do you have the Arial font installed, in a unicode version?

The fonts listed as "FontSansSerifFallback" in debug settings are MSGothic.ttc; gulim.ttc; simhei.ttf, and ArialUni.ttf .

I'd start out making sure those are all installed.

Anyone made a group with dingbats in the title know how they did it?

Anyone able to provide an example of such a group title?

I am seriously wondering if you were to type using your special fonts in photoshop or in word for that matter and then copy and control paste (cntrl V) them into the chat window (or the group title window), if that would come across.

Callie group has my favorite - It's L O V E with a circle around all of the letters.

I suppose it couldn't hurt to install some dingbat fonts like Zapf Dingbats.

That title is showing on my system.

Those lowercase letters in circles appear in the font MS Gothic.

If that font is on your system you should see them above.

What version of windows? What service pack?

MsGothic is an "SP2 font" .

See http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/product.aspx?PID=145 for a list of fonts that come with XP SP2. Precisely which fonts get installed with SP2 depends on more than just installing SP2, according to that page.

You might want to install the East Asian language pack as well.
