Should i take a hint

Last week i picked up my 6000l bed and it didn't go to my inventory. I didn't realise until the next day. Cleared cache blah blah blah didnt come back.

Today i picked up my 4000l bed (bought as a replacement) and it didn't go into my inventory. I contacted live help straight away.. The sim owner is asking for a roll back for me but i don't hold out much hope.

Now this is where everyone jumps in and tells heartening stories about the sudden reappearance of missing inventory items after weeks of being gone.

Why is it that expensive no copy things disappear while other things seems to breed in my inventory.

They're using your missing bed?

Because the Backend Lag Monster prefers only expensive sacrifices in order for you to be able to rez at all?

But does it appear in your transaction log, and the seller's ? Most seller's will replace the item for you if they confirm they received your lindens.

i think by *picked up* the OP means as in taking it from where it was placed in her home? Not a transaction from seller to her(could have read it wrong though)

Yes, what exactly did you mean by "picked up"?

1. You paid for it and it never showed up in your inventory?
Check your transaction history and IM/send a notecard to the vendor.
NOTE: Being in Busy mode is the most frequent cause of failure to receive a purchase!

2. You rezzed it in world and you tried to move it with the Edit tools?
If you "lost hold" of it, it could have run off to 0,0,0 in your sim, or into a neighboring sim, or even off the edge of the world. It may or may not show up again one day.
Check 0,0,0 and look in your Lost and Found folder periodically.

3. You rezzed it and then tried to take it back into your inventory?
3a. You did that by right clicking the bed and selecting Take.
Use Inventory Search to look for it. It may not be in the folder you expect.

3b. You did it by right clicking and selecting More/Delete.
Look in your Trash for it. If you emptied the Trash, say bye-bye bed.

I to "picked up" from my home to move to the new build on my land, a 10,000L bed, and all bath and some other very high dollar items 20 days ago, didn't notice until a couple days or later they were gone

this is about 75,000L worth of stuff, and over a year old. Tried everything to get them to show up but, alas I give up.

and 2 items were a prim box filled with stuff.

if you are still in a day or two yopu can try clearing cashe, logging into the sim Gam and see if you get it to show after everything loads, I did get stuff back doing this, just not any of the big $ items I wanted back, I got stuff back I deleted, years ago LOL

EDIT TO ADD:
I also went through every item and object in my inventory over a week 14,000 items, one at a time and opened and made sure the missing items didn't get bundled, as did my partner just in case I gave or returned them to her...
