A Question about Landmarks

Last night I sat up a new fishing village (7 Seas Wewt) so that my partner and I could hold tourneys and have a place to kick back and socialize....I set my landmark to where I thought was a good landing point for folks. This morning when I went back to check the landmark point, I ended up in the middle of the water about 50m's from where I had initially set it. Why does this happen? I've noticed it when I've set up stores as well. I checked the coordinates of my landmark and they are correct to where I had set them, but I am not where the landmark was set.

I don't want people to end up in the water, they'll surely tp right back out! How can this be fixed?

Probably there is a landing point set for the whole parcel (in: about land). That overrides landmarks.

happened to me once, I just tried again and it worked the second time, maybe some SL borkiness?

Thanks for the responses! Turns out that the landlord had to subdivide the property in order for my landmark to work.....All is well! Fishing tournies to be announced sooooon! Hooooo!
