I have in the past couple of days been able to access SL from my computer.
However I now get the warning of "Unable to connect to SL from this computer"
Can anyone help me as to how I can log-on.

Easiest thing to try - clear the cache in your SL, and then try re-launching.
(open SL (don't need to connect) click Preferences then network and click the button to clear the cache - then the Apply button, close and re-launch) Otherwise, uninstall, and re-install the new viewer. Worst case is, you've been banned. Oops..edited to add, have you tried re-starting your router? _____________________

Me too suddenly, I was had been on for an hour or two, got red-mapped a few minutes ago (and the friend I was shopping with just sent me an offline that she'd crashed too), now got that message as well. I tried logging into other regions per forum posts, but no luck...
Of course, there's nothing in the knowledge base, thankfully the forums are here or we'd have no clue at all!  _____________________

I'm in chat with out world support about it, I did a relog and now it says I can't access SL on this computer. I did a restart and still nothing. SL Support say there a 'number' of people with this issue

I have deleted and re-installed SL and I am still unable to gain access to SL. I put in a support ticket and got 2 responses. The last one asked for my ip address which was correct. I have heard nothing more which kind of indicates SL have run out of ideas and its easier to ignore my problem than stay in touch and work through it.
As I hadn't logged on for several weeks, I have 2 thoughts on this: Could the new age verification prevent me from accessing SL. I only have one property which is my home in Arianti. I have used a program called SMAC2 for something totally different to SL. I used it to spoof my MAC address. I removed the program because the trial period had finished and as my ip address was the correct one - no problem or is there?? I wish to sell my last property but cannot access SL, Is there any way I can get SL to do this for me... Any help is appreciated. SF |
