I've decided to make some freebies to offer in my shop....haha, once the back yard is cleared out and I have prims left, that is. LOL So...I'm looking for poses, and I guess the proper scripts (and I know very little about that, so if someone can enlighten me, that'd be cool) ...to make stuff that has sitting poses that I can transfer?? I know where a lot of good animation shops are....but not sure where to buy the stuff I'll need to create stuff I can actually pass on to others.

Bit and Bobs has copy/transfer animations, but they are priced higher than the normal ones.

I think it's called M&P animations... in the basement they have 8 packs of freebie animations, and a great tutorial on making poseballs.

They're one of the bigger animation places so they should be easy to find in search. When you get there just head down to the basement and stock up on the freebies and read the tutorials.

I was wondering too...if any of those re-sale places have packages like that.....I've seen other packages.....but can't recall. So, any other suggestions are welcome. Usually I love bouncing around in world finding new places with cool stuff......but there are times (like now) when I really just need to know exactly where to go for something spacific.

And....when making an object one can sit/lay on....do you need a script of sorts or do you just drop said pose into the pose ball and link it to the main object? I have pose balls that I can drop any pose into and set up anywhere....but they have a particular script in them and not sure if they can be transferred, so I may need to make my own.

There are a bunch of static sitting poses that are distributable; some freebies, some reasonable (NyteRave Studios has some of the latter--though with a bizarre EULA that seems to require you to keep the full-perm anims in the slightly brain-damaged poseballs; never understood that). One huge caution: if you'll be distributing animations from full-perm poseballs that you purchase, be VERY careful that you follow the instructions exactly, to make sure you aren't distributing the anims with full permissions.

There are a variety of freebie poseball scripts. One popular one is available at . There's also a very well-received set of recent scripts for embedding animations in furniture prims without poseballs, at . (Coincidentally, just today there's a thread in Scripting Tips exploring whether all the poseball and related scripts have contained a completely superstitious bit of code, since time immemorial. But I wouldn't advise jumping on that approach just yet. :p )

I use these B&B animations to make the couches, chairs and a number of other furnishings that I sell. You can NOT use the B&B pose sets to make freebies. It's strictly against their license agreement. The copy/transfer sets are sold for the express purpose of allowing a content creator to make furniture that they can sell. But they are required my the use agreement with B&B to sell the resulting furnishings as no-copy. If they sold them as copyable, or gave them away as copyable, then that destroys the value of B&B's work, snce anyone could then copy the pose set indefinitely.

The price on the copy/transfer sets is about L$1000 and up - quite reasonable if you intend to sell a couch at a normal price, and expect to sell more than one or two of them. But not worth it if you plan to give the item away, even if you make the item no-copy for the next user.

I agree. I will be using the bath animation soon too. B&B have another great policy, buy the non copy non mod for L$150 to test it first, if you like it buy the full permissions version for return of the original + the extra charge. These animations are good and for the benefit of all creators selling objects on.

Thanks you guys....you've been a great help!! Perhaps I'll have to re-think my ideas on what to 'give away' but then again...perhaps a 20L bargain item. I just wanted to offer something more at my shop. But now the wheels are spinning and I think I know what I'm gonna do. *grin*
